Changing For The Better

After 8 months in PR I thought I’d write a short posting regarding my previous career and the relatively unrelated switch in to Public Relations. Previously I had always worked a barrister’s clerk. Working in chambers in Leicester and London I managed barristers and their cases throughout the country for almost 7 years; that is until the whole profession began to change...for the worse. I won’t bore everyone with the details but change is necessary in every profession to progress forward, unfortunately here, it seemed to be regress backwards.
With this, I thought I’d look for a completely new challenge. I knew I liked writing, I knew I liked talking and I knew I liked the odd drink here and there...Public Relations here I come.
I joined Punch Communications in September ‘07 and I’ve already seen numerous positive changes in the company and profession as a whole. The company has grown by 500% and the change I’ve witnessed has been for the better, not only for Punch but also all its clients. We utilise almost every new and changing technology to our advantage and have subsequently won multiple new business clientele.
Change is a good thing on the whole and it has help Punch Communications evolve into the great PR Agency it is today.
