I Heart PR (& Social & Search)

I’ve only been at Punch for three weeks, but I already feel like I’m part of the furniture! The team has been fantastic and very welcoming.
Joining Punch has been a really exciting time for me, as I was stepping into a role that was somewhat different to what I had been used to. My background is predominantly in traditional PR – working up campaigns for public sector organisations and liaising with consumer journalists on a daily basis.
Something that has been fantastic to grasp hold of since joining Punch is the understanding of just how much the three disciplines can work together to produce the best results - I can't explain how exciting it is to be working at the cutting edge of this in an integrated PR, search and social media agency. Prior to joining Punch, I was impressed by the increasing number of new and exciting ways brands were using platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest to engage with their audiences in a completely different way than I had seen with more traditional PR. Who'd have thought that elements I previously believed to be separate could complement each other so much?
With my debut month at Punch drawing to a close, I'm looking forward to discovering even more about how the future of PR is shaping up and to being part of its continual evolution.
