Saving The Apprentice

Considering the Government is backing apprenticeship schemes to be the saviour of the UK skill shortage crisis, witnessing Lee become Sir Alan’s apprentice in Wednesday nights final I’m sure filled many people with fear.
Currently in the UK only 53% of apprentices actually complete their training – a fact I’m sure Sir Alan is only too aware of considering the past winners of The Apprentice - where the figure may actually be even lower. However, with Lee, despite the copious amounts of spelling mistakes in his CV, he does seem to be willing to learn. But to ensure success, like Sir Alan’s sidekicks did throughout the series, monitoring and evaluating is essential.
This is true in real life where, if monitored and managed correctly, apprenticeships really do hold the key to raising the UK skill set. To make this a possibility, Perspective, a UK software developer specialising in web-based training and learning solutions, has designed an online platform whereby monitoring progress is a simple click of a button. The information can then be accessed and shared in real time – a solution that will effectively make paper-work redundant.
