A Breath Of Fresh Eire

The line-up was fantastic, boasting the likes of The Killers and Kings of Leon, as well as a fantastic performance from kings of Britpop themselves, Blur.
The festival and more importantly its guests were a breath of fresh air. The vast majority of people were just so easy to talk to, and also very well behaved (I have been to all too many British festivals where people have set fires, vandalised, stolen valuables etc). The festivals eco-cup policy meant that litter was mostly kept to a minimum, and the impeccable organisation of the whole affair made the festival a huge success. Not even a downpour could sour the crowd (although the price of beer did, €6 a pint!).
Oxegen seems to be an annual event for me now, so I will no doubt be picking up tickets for next year in the coming weeks. I'd be more than happy to relive the whole weekend again.
Next stop is the beautiful Nice in France; bring on the sunshine and swimming pools!
