A Calm Exterior Belies the Fast Pace at Punch Comms

Currently hurtling into my seventh week at Punch Communications, the fast pace of this PR Agency means there's never been a dull day from the start. With the office tucked away in the Midlands, surrounded by fields, the peace only interrupted by an occasional moo and rumble of a tractor - the industrious nature of Punch is well hidden to the outside world.

Now, privy to the internal workings of the agency, I can safely say that looks can be deceiving; with new clients coming on board and potential new business at every turn, the Punch team really are an industrious lot. So far, I have learned a huge amount from the various different areas of expertise found within the team and this will undoubtedly continue.

Embarking on the task of becoming au fait with the use of social media, networking and bookmarking within PR campaigns has been an exciting challenge for me. Having previously focused on more traditional PR methods, starting at Punch has opened my eyes to the importance of being at the forefront of developments in this digital age.

Relaxing this weekend to re-charge my batteries won't be an option this as I'll be starting my birthday celebrations from 6pm on Friday. I don't normally go in for birthdays in a big way, but this year have been coerced into organising a few things as I'm going to be 30. Back to work on Tuesday morning, quite possibly sporting a couple of new wrinkles.
