A ‘quick’ trip to Somerset

Proving the fact that no distance is too far or wide for this PR agency, Punch travelled to Somerset on Friday for The Gardening Show 2009.
Both Philip and I had the pleasure of attending the Bath & West show this year for Punch client Ratedpeople.com. It was apparent that despite a year of economic downturn, the green fingered members of the British public would not be deterred, with 2009 being hailed as one of the best attended in the show's history. Swarms of both experienced and budding gardeners flocked to the show in order to view the magnificent Floral Halls and attend the various gardening talks.
Philip and I, who were new comers to the Bath & West Show, were particularly impressed with the contestants entered into the UK National Giant Vegetable Championship. The best entry by far being the courgettes and pumpkins, the largest I had ever seen and a spectacle in their own right!
