A Seasonal Social Experiment

As it's approaching that time of the year in which families all across the country will be dusting off the decorations and heading to the garden centre to pick out their trees, a good Christmas song is an essential part of decorating the house. Most people have a favourite festive song that gets them in the Christmas mood and I thought I would spread the joy by carrying out a social straw poll of friends and family on Facebook and Twitter asking them what their favourite Christmas song is.
One of the things that I love about social networking sites is that they can really bring people together who have a common interest and who want to share their thoughts. With one friend saying he had to give his favourite song a little listen and another friend stating that she was "feeling a bit Christmassy now" I felt pleased that I could spread some Christmas joy (even if it is still November).
So below is a list of a few of my favourite Christmas songs, as suggested by my good friends;
Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You
Andy Williams - It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year
The Drifters – White Christmas
East 17 – Stay Another Day
The Pogues - A Fairytale Of New York
And my all time favourite.... Nat King Cole – The Christmas Song
