A Taste Of Winter

Following on our somewhat wintery theme, I am disappointed to note that our revised employee handbook suggests in no uncertain terms that the consumption of alcohol in the office is worthy of varying levels of misconduct - gross or what?

With my alcoholic shakes replaced by wintery shivers, I was delighted to learn about a terrific site on the interwebby thing that will certainly warm the cockles. Grainmash charts one man's epic journey to find the perfect whisky and is the brainchild and obsession of a certain Robin Caller, Managing Director of Goallover, the creator of Europe's premier lead generation management and validation platform and Punch client.

Whilst I am regularly accused of claiming mastery of many things (without much in the way of supportive evidence I am compelled to add), I hold my hands up in whisky ignorance and bow at feet of Mr. Caller - innovator, pioneer and grain connoisseur.

Having returned from a questionable stag weekend on the Isle Of Arran earlier this year, the only knowledge I can add is...never...no matter whose life depends on it...ever...even if you have lived on a diet of sand and rivita for a fortnight...visit a whisky distillery early in the morning on a remote Scottish island with a hangover that would take down a herd of buffalo. I trust even Mr. Caller would agree with that...
