A Warm Welcome from Punch Communications

I can tell you from first-hand experience that choosing to study Media and Communications at University isn’t easy and working in this fast paced industry is even further from that.
Exiting University during the height of a global recession was never going to be smooth sailing, and I, like many others in my position had to consider working within jobs in industries I had no intention of pursuing long-term. I also had to engage in bouts of unpaid media work to gain experience in an effort to land a sought after position within marketing and PR. I learnt that my determination to succeed had sincerely paid off when Punch Communications offered me a full time role as Junior Account Executive.
Starting at Punch, like any other job, was a daunting prospect. However the team welcomed me with open arms yesterday and I have already began to learn the strategies of the company, my role here and how it could develop. Punch’s integrated PR, social media and SEO services were of interest to me straight away as I knew its exciting new way of delivering communications would enable me to combine and incorporate skills I had developed at uni and in previous roles. Where many other agencies do not stray from the traditional PR offering, Punch have branched out and are now miles ahead in the technology stakes by incorporating SEO and social into its PR services – I now can’t wait to learn more and be ahead of the game too.
