Founded in 2010, Bossa Studios is a UK-based games developer with a focus on the creation and launch of social network games. Bossa launched its debut title, Monstermind, in September 2011 – and received a BAFTA in 2012 for “Best Online Browser Game”.

Punch secured coverage in tier one media targets through a strategically planned social media strategy.

Campaign goals and results

Punch was tasked with launching Bossa Studio’s first real-time social game, Monstermind, to gaming and mainstream media while outreaching to players and influencers through social media channels. Punch co-ordinated all launch press activity, which included pre-launch outreach to key media and bloggers, launch PR surrounding the Eurogamer 2011 conference and the announcement of Bossa’s acquisition by the Shine Group.

Within the first month, Punch had secured standout press coverage in tier-one media and helped drive over 40,000 monthly active users to play the game. Press coverage included: the Guardian, the Daily Telegraph, Bloomberg.com, AllFacebook, Socialatte, Develop, and Gamasutra. Within six months, the Facebook fan page increased to more than 100,000 fans, with more than 200,000 monthly active users playing the game.

Brand awareness was increased by Punch who promoted Bossa and key personnel.
