Coping With Sleep Deprivation

Sleep seems to have become a recurring theme of my personal PR blog, typically given that I have a three year old and Emma is seven months pregnant again but also this week due to the travel and consequent jetlag.

I guess everyone copes with it differently. Yesterday was unusual in that we had a 25 hour working day 6am to 7am (11pm local time by the time I got to bed) but I'd hate to think how much coffee I consumed yesterday, which can't be good. Obviously the food here is generally terrific - or at least, mostly appealing, even if I know that streaky bacon and eggs every morning (for example) is not actually any good for me - but I have a feeling that I'm likely to try and compensate for the stretched days with additional meals.

Normally jetlag doesn't affect me too badly when travelling eastwards - I get it far worse when coming home. Based on the fact I'm shattered before even going into work this morning, I think today's going to be quite interesting from lunchtime onwards...
