Campaign Goals & Results

Punch was commissioned to promote e-commerce to consumers within the context of this multi-channel business and also to raise the profile of Direct Line's Breakdown insurance cover to consumers.

Since the campaign began in October 2003, Punch generated significant coverage across consumer technology media both in print and online for www.Directline.com, with the use of themed surveys, case studies and intelligent creative pitches. The success of this initial campaign in the national and consumer media resulted in Punch's appointment by Direct Line to develop a campaign promoting its Breakdown product.

Punch devised and managed a campaign to send bonsai trees to national journalists on behalf of DirectLine.com as a Christmas gift, which was described by several national correspondents as the most creative item they had ever received.

Punch assisted Direct Line's marketing team in planning, managing and hosting a major event for the brand's parent company, RBS, at which the company's chairman was the guest of honour. From sourcing the venue, to developing the invites and preparing goody bags, Punch was integral to the success of this major internal event.
