Embracing the Inner Geek

Having come from a traditional PR background I have to admit to feeling slightly daunted at the prospect of using social media methods, and I had never truly understood the concept of search engine optimization. In fact, I have to admit that before joining Punch I was fairly naive about social media and its uses. My internet usage mainly consisted of online shopping and a chat with my friends every now and then. I knew that Punch offered Search and Social Media services and I was excited to learn more about it however I was not expecting to reveal a new side of my personality, I have officially uncovered the geek within me.

In the past 2 months, not only have I become a social media addict but I am now also an official member of Team Geek. I am not ashamed to admit that I am at my happiest when I am posting SEO's and drafting the weekly web ranking reports. I would never wish to compete with the existing nerds here at Punch, I would fail in an instant, however I have discovered a whole new realm of geekness that lives within me and I am just bursting to learn more. So a note to all those geek-haters and internet-abusers out there (Prince, that includes you!) the internet is officially cool!
