As London Fashion Week 2011 wraps up, I had a unique opportunity to attend the show for the Autumn/Winter 2011 collection of Maria Grachvogel on the opening day. The show was at the recently renovated Savoy Hotel just off The Strand. Emma and I got a really early train and since I don’t usually get to this area of London very often, it was nice to stroll along the Embankment on the way to the show.
The room was a buzz with paparazzi flashes capturing photos of famous fashionistas such as Yasmin LeBon and fashion maven Hilary Alexander. I follow her on Twitter so it was exciting to see her thoughts about the show instantly. As the show began, the lights dimmed and the music started and the models made their way around the room, showing off the latest Maria Grachvogel designs.
The black catsuit was probably my favourite. I wish every week was a fashion week… a girl can only dream…
