Foursquare Bug

Its official, I’ve caught the Foursquare bug! Although I’ve been using Foursquare for a number of months now and as much as I wanted to get into this new social media phenomenon there was one slight issue that prevented this from happening, my memory.

I would often forget to check-in to venues that I visited. Only once I was home and browsing my phone would I spot my Foursquare app and realise that I’d missed a multitude of opportunities to earn badges, bonus points and steal other people’s mayorships!

Recently however, this has all changed. I am naturally a very determined person, which has its positives and negatives, but in this case my determination has paid off - this week, as well as earning the ‘Adventurer’ badge and the ‘Super User’ badge, I also took the mayor crown for the Punch office. Erica had ruled the roost for a long while and although George tried, he failed to steal her crown. After a month of daily check-ins, George finally gave up, whereas I quietly persevered and am now the proud mayor of the Punch office.

Now that I have one mayorship I can’t just stop there. I think I deserve to become the mayor of the Tesco near the Punch offices, as I’m now on first name terms with the Monday to Friday lunch-time staff. I have also set my sights on the gold crown of Weltons, a small deli close to the Punch office, where the current mayor is Pete.
