Gaping Void's Corinthians Print

A couple of weeks ago I stumbled across Hugh Macleod's hugely well read and respected Gaping Void blog for the first time in a while, which coincided with the fact that he was starting to sell some of his work as prints for the first time through his new online store.

I recently learned (via Rodrigo Dauster, of Imagini, the parent company of new Punch client Youniverse, who is considerably more well versed in this concept than I) about Hugh's take on the idea of Social Objects, which struck a major chord with me.

I love Hugh's irreverence, his maverick thinking and the fact that he is so searingly insightful so, we decided to adorn the Punch office wall with a piece of his work and ship it across from the US. Although I'd ideally have preferred something more overtly visual, the Corinthians piece is hugely resonant for me as, like many other people, this was read at my wedding. So, it seemed fated.

Having made the purchase and sat on my hands for a number of subsequent weeks, a massive brown box finally arrived a couple of days ago, as can be seen here. Having promised to do so, I posted that image to Twitpic as 'social proof' (which Hugh was kind enough to share with his community of 15k followers) and will be doing so again as soon as I find a moment to have it framed.

If you don't read it at present, I strongly recommend subscribing to Hugh's 'Crazy, Deranged Fools' email.
