Google’s Doodle

At Punch, we love an excuse to get competitive, especially if it involves a sporting challenge, and nothing can bring out our competitive side more than today’s Google doodle! Over the last ten days Google has celebrated the best sporting events in doodle form and has today made the hurdles sketch interactive.

With the office descending on Google this morning, the gauntlet was thrown down to get the best office time. This brought about some very serious faces with George taking an early lead and posting a time of 13 seconds. Since then there has been cheating galore with our very own James declaring a time of eight seconds… there will be a doping investigation carried out later today.

On a more serious note, this is a creative way Google is increasing its own SEO and it once again shows how the search engine is staying one step ahead of the game in terms of innovative engagement. Additionally the game also encourages sharing of scores via social media, which will support viral growth and will drive more traffic to Google’s homepage.

Back to the fun and games, here are the top three scores of the day:

James – 8.6 seconds;

Jessica – 10.7 seconds;

Tyler – 10.8 seconds.
