Happy Social Media Day

Today marks the first ever international Social Media Day. This day was created by the social media news site Mashable and its purpose is "to celebrate the revolution of media becoming social." The aim of the day is to encourage social media users to attend events that are taking place all over the world in which they can meet with others within their social media community. The capital city of British Columbia, Victoria, was the first city to officially announce 30th June as Social Media Day.
Here at Punch we think that it is great that social media is being celebrated, after all it is the phenomenon that has taken over the way businesses and brands network, as well as the way in which friends and family communicate. Every day is Social Media Day at Punch and our meet-up will be taking place down at the local - see you guys there!!
