Previously, BP (Before Punch) I worked within the financial services sector and have therefore always had a keen (and yes I know sad) interest in the housing market. The credit crunch has hit the housing market pretty hard, first-time buyers don't have a deposit and tighter lending is preventing many existing homeowners from moving up the ladder.

One company that has witnessed the effect of the credit crunch is our client Kudos Showers Ltd. Oddly enough I am not going to report a drop in trading I am actually going to tell you about a rise! Kudos has experienced increased sales of their sleekest enclosure the 1000 Offset Curved Slider, designed specifically to fit into small areas, as homeowners choose to add showers into existing downstairs toilets or create a new en-suite.

This increasing trend towards the additional installation of showers in small or newly created spaces signifies that customers are being more innovative and adventurous with existing spaces. Us British, never ones to be defeated, are choosing home improvement rather than home movement, and we don't have to pay legal fees, stamp duty, redemption penalties etc, etc for doing so - genius!
