It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

As the countdown gets closer to that magical day, I find its good to take some time out from the rushing around in town, curl up on the sofa in front of a roaring fire and enjoy a good Christmas film. I have my personal favorites that make an appearance each year. Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer with its stop motion animation takes me back to staying up just a bit later to watch the seasonal special. A Charlie Brown Christmas reminds me of the very special meaning of the holiday season. A Christmas Story is another favorite that depicts a young boy pining for the unattainable gift. All of these remind me of my childhood which I now get to re-live through my own child.
I wondered what holiday films put my friends in the Christmas spirit so I reached out to my social media network to find out. There were some great ones that deserve honorable mentions such as timeless classics It's a Wonderful Life, Holiday Inn and Miracle on 34th Street, Home Alone; and even Love Actually. Coming in a close second was A Muppet Christmas Carol, but it seems the top holiday movie is Elf. The parody of all the Christmas movie classics and remembering the magic of believing in Santa makes it hard not to love this Christmas favourite. Did you hear that?!
