British Bathroom Innovator Hits Increases Turnover For Sixth Consecutive Year
Innovative British designer and manufacturer of shower enclosures, Kudos Showers has reported a sharp increase in growth in 2007 from the previous financial year - increasing turnover for the sixth consecutive year to £13 Million, despite intense competition from cheaper foreign imports.
At a time when the UK has been fighting adverse market conditions - with some industry reports indicating a revenue down-turn of between 20% and 40% in 2007 - Kudos Showers' end of year figures illustrate that consumers are not prepared to compromise on quality.
David Gannon, Sales and Marketing Director of Kudos Shower Products Ltd, commented: "Kudos has not buckled to the temptation of selling a lesser product to compete with cheaper imports. We refuse to compromise on the quality of our products and our sales figures demonstrate that consumers share our belief."
2007 saw the first full year in which Kudos Showers produced three separate and innovative showering collections: Kudos Originals, Kudos Infinite and Kudos Ultimate, representing framed, semi frameless and walk in shower enclosures respectively. Each range represents the latest in design, technology and practical installation and targets a different segment of the shower market.
Whilst the historical success of the business has been primarily driven by the Kudos Original collection, the semi frameless Infinite and walk in Ultimate were collectively responsible for a third of the business' in 2007.
David Gannon continued: "Our traditional Original enclosures remain the mainstay of the business as they fit the market requirement for 'affordable luxury', a combination of exceptional build quality, high attention to detail and good value for money. Throughout 2007, we have seen a significant growth in the sale of both semi frameless and walk in showers across the market - which serves to demonstrate that consumers are increasingly looking for both luxury and diversity for their bathroom."
Since Kudos was established in 2002, the company has expanded its UK-wide footprint significantly and risen from a £1 million to £13 million turnover business, which employs a team of one hundred in its Cumbria-based, 100,000 sq ft factory.

Kudos suppliers distribute their products on an exclusive area by area basis that ensures the reseller is not squeezing profits to gain a competitive edge.
