Driven by a dedicated team of community managers, copywriters and graphic designers, we developed a newsjacking strategy that would target a key Sony Mobile competitor during its global product announcement. Collaborating in a ‘creative war room’ environment, we reacted to the competitor’s live streamed product launch in real-time, creating bespoke social posts that not only leveraged the benefits of the Sony Mobile product but attracted the attention of key influencers from the worlds of music, gaming and tech. A combination of resonant copy and powerful visuals helped generate global media interest, resulting in one of the best performing Sony Mobile social media activities to date.
