Pete Goold

Having co-founded Punch Communications in 2003, Pete has fourteen years experience in UK and European Public Relations and an enviable base of media contacts in highly diverse sectors.

With a wealth of communications expertise spanning Consumer, Corporate, Trade and Business-to-Business sectors, he has devised and managed national and international media campaigns for global blue-chip businesses – these have included Microsoft, Direct Line, Boeing & Sony PlayStation, each of which has taken advantage of his talent for clear and concise communication.

Pete also has considerable experience and personal passion for the technology sector having launched and nurtured some of the UK’s most durable and successful internet brands through the European dotcom boom - including FT.com, Excite, LetsBuyIt and lastminute.com.

Abbie Upton

A journalism graduate with three years experience in public relations, Abbie joined the Punch team in April 2008. 

Abbie has worked on a variety of corporate and consumer accounts in her career to date including English Partnerships, Ikea, Bridgestone Tyres and First Union. Her experiences in these roles have provided her with strong media contacts spanning a range of sectors and first class writing skills.

In her spare time Abbie enjoys skiing, walking her dog in the countryside and feeding her shopping habit.

Katharine Parker

Katharine’s background is primarily in corporate public relations across a variety of sectors.

Starting her career in the financial services sector working for Market Harborough Building Society, Katharine gained vast experience of this sector also working on brands such as Norwich Union, Zurich Financial Services and Insurance.

Katharine moved into the travel industry working within a PR and media buying role for escorted tour operator Travelsphere and sister companies Page & Moy and Just You.

With extensive experience of the telecommunications industry and specialist experience in Voice over IP and Wireless solutions, Katharine has promoted brands such as Siemens, Inter-Tel, Watchguard and BT to both consumer and channel audiences.

Claire MacDonald

Claire joined Punch in August 2008 after spending five months travelling around Australasia and South America.

After gaining experience in the Publishing sector of PR, she has worked with a number of different accounts and clients, including the popular wine taster, Oz Clarke and the Good Pub Guide series.

In her spare time, Claire enjoys the theatre and is a keen performer herself, often found belting out a few numbers, either on stage or off!

Ben Leuty

Ben is fairly new to Public Relations but has already gained invaluable experience in many sectors.

Having many technology and web based clients, Ben has the ability to understand complex business structures and write effective press releases and case studies to promote these.

Ben also has a creative side, being able to approach plans from a diverse angle and construct ideas that will catch the particular market audience’s attention.

Out of work, Ben is an avid armchair sports fan. Unfortunately born a supporter of Derby County, Ben relies on Leicester Tigers bringing the supporters success home.

Emma Goold

Emma’s background is in corporate and consumer public relations having started her career in-house at the European headquarters of Microsoft in Paris. This role armed her with a wide range of senior business and consumer press contacts and invaluable experience of crisis management, corporate social responsibility campaigns, event management and media liaison.

Having moved into agency work, Emma has also had the enviable task of working with many household lifestyle brands such as Virgin Radio, Virgin Mobile and the world’s largest online dating company Match.com.

In addition to her role at Punch, Emma launched a thriving Brighton-based design agency Belle Etoile in January 2003 and was recognised as one of four Young Designers of the Year by the Greetings Card Industry association in October 2003, demonstrating her creativity.

Philip Keightley

Having joined Punch Communications in October 2007, Philip has worked in the UK and European Media industry for over seven years, incorporating a blend of experience in advertising and public relations.

Philip has worked with a range of clients including British Airways, St George PLC, the Bahrain Economic Development Board and IFA Hotels & Resorts, providing and managing a range of campaigns spanning public relations, contract publishing, and advertising.

Philip’s experience and expertise lies in providing targeted and efficient campaigns, incorporating a host of media disciplines, across a diverse range of sectors from commercial and residential property to the latest media technologies.
