Hugo Sumner

Hugo joined punch as a junior account executive in October 2012.

After graduating from the University of Birmingham in 2011 with a degree in politics, he was elected as vice president of his student’s union and served a one-year term up until July 2012. He took a lead role in developing a communications strategy for the organisation and was part of a team responsible for the creation and execution of a new web platform.

At Punch, Hugo works with Sony Mobile and other global brands by supporting their social media and SEO efforts, as well as being responsible for managing in-house social media channels.

Outside of work, Hugo is a keen traveller and enjoys anything from skiing in the mountains to relaxing on a beach. He is also a passionate Nottingham Forest fan and can be found at the City Ground most weekends.

Erin Ablett

Erin joined Punch as an Account Executive in June 2012 after winning the unconventional and innovative ‘No CV Campaign’, which showed her creativity, dynamism and understanding of the evolving world of PR, Search & Social Media.

In her spare time Erin is kept very busy with a long list of activities including; Tae Kwon ‘do (in which she has a black belt), modelling, singing, song writing, playing the piano, writing, socialising, shopping, a love for fashion, food and films and developing her language skills, including French and basic Italian.

Emmaline McAndrew

Emm joined Punch in July 2012 as a Social Media Account Manager bringing with her a wide range of experience in Social Networking, SEO and Online Marketing from a multi-channel E-Commerce environment together with 15 years of progressive digital involvement.

Before graduating as a mature student in 2010 with a Communications & Information Technology Hons Degree, Emm’s previous appointments included Web Designer, Publicity Officer and International Vocalist.  In her spare time Emm loves to crochet geeky amigurumi for her craft blog and watch science fiction films.

Georgina Dunkley

Georgina joined Punch in January 2011 as an account director.  With over eight years’ experience in the PR industry, she has worked across the UK for a number of high-profile clients offering media relations, event management, crisis communications, strategy development and most recently, social media support.

With extensive expertise in the hospitality, motoring, property and professional services sector, Georgina has also worked closely with public sector organisations including the Department for Transport.

In her spare time, Georgina is an avid traveller and shopper and is happiest when shopping for holidays!

Dee Hemsley

Dee Hemsley joined Punch in November 2011 bringing 30 years of experience in finance with a background in Marketing and Distribution.

 Outside work Dee loves country walks, weekends at the coast and socialising with friends.

Tyler Sox

Tyler joined Punch in July 2012 as an account manager with three years experience in SEO.

Whilst partaking in a Media degree at De Montfort University Tyler developed a real passion for digital media.

With a wide range of hobbies including magic, football, gaming and music, Tyler can be found player-managing his 7-a-side football team or having a sing song while playing guitar at any given time outside of work.

 

Kelly Hill

Kelly joined Punch in 2012 and brings ten years of experience across in-house and agency PR in both the UK and Australian markets. After graduating with a degree in media and journalism, she landed a PR role at one of the UK’s largest universities, managing its reputation domestically and overseas. This was followed by four years at globally renowned consultancy Porter Novelli in Sydney, and most recently as the account director at a leading Midlands-based boutique agency.

She has worked with iconic clients spanning FMCG, telecoms, financial services, travel, technology, and education sectors. Kelly has managed campaigns for household name brands including Visa, 3 mobile Australia, P&O Cruises, Wrigley's 5 Gum, Smith's (PepsiCo), Vision Express and Gossard.

As part of the senior Punch team, Kelly works across a range of client accounts, including Vision Express and Synqera, and is instrumental in building upon the agency’s service offering.

Away from work, Kelly loves to travel and has visited dozens of countries including Bolivia, Ecuador, Guatemala, Cambodia and Colombia.

 

Rob Alcock

After graduating from De Montfort University with a degree in music technology, Rob went on to complete a master’s degree in marketing management. Having previously worked on social media campaigns for a national music college, Rob has developed a knowledge and understanding of the implementation of social channels into overall communication strategies. At Punch, Rob is mainly involved in SEO and social media activities for various clients and is always looking to try his hand in other areas!

Outside of the office, Rob spends his time playing guitar, socialising, and attending concerts and festivals.

 

Janey Marshall

Janey has previous experience within the national press and consumer magazines. Her various roles at Express Newspapers and Ipc Media ranged from Advertising Executive through to Group Advertisement Director. These roles armed her with vast experience in the management of teams, whilst also helping to establish a high profile amongst London advertising agencies.

Janey created and launched her own online business in 2006 called Basically Black, selling a wide range of black clothing to ladies. She built her customer base through both off and online PR, advertising and promotional activity, as well as email marketing and html.

Keredy Andrews

Keredy joined Punch in June 2010 after gaining a wide range of communications and events coordination experience, primarily in the public sector.

Her work at The University of Northampton, a Government body and a local authority has included media relations and campaign management as well as being responsible for internal communications and web content. Her undergraduate degree focused on literature and she has also completed a masters degree in writing and new media.

In her spare time, Keredy enjoys reading, cooking, walking by canals and watching Formula One. Her all time favourite activities are eating, sleeping and, although a rare occurrence in England, soaking up the sunshine.

Matthew Ireland

Matthew joined Punch in January 2013, and brings over ten years of experience in analysing processes and delivering successful projects for leading investment banks and the London 2012 Olympics.

Having spent eight years working for Citigroup and Deutsche Bank, Matthew joined the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games as the venue results manager for hockey at the Olympic Park. For twenty months leading up to and including the Olympic Games, Matthew was responsible for testing and delivering results and statistics for all hockey matches. This included TV graphics broadcast globally, the london2012.com website, and the scoreboards and commentator systems at the Riverbank Arena.

Outside of work, Matthew loves travelling to music festivals and sporting events around the world, cooking, and running slowly.

Kirsty Shaw

Kirsty joined Punch in November 2011 as an account manager. Following a stint as a producer for the BBC, Kirsty moved into PR four years ago working across a number of high profile B2B, public sector and consumer clients.

Kirsty is able to provide clients, which have included brands such as 888, Brawn GP, DYLON and the Learning and Skills Council, with an extensive knowledge of the media as well as strategy development, social media support and high level consultancy.
 
In her spare time, Kirsty is a self-confessed gym-aholic, often trying to find new ways to keep fit. Kirsty also enjoys holidays, dancing and the occasional cocktail or two.

Pete Goold

Having co-founded Punch Communications in 2003, Pete has seventeen years experience in Global Public Relations - and an enviable base of media contacts in highly diverse sectors. He is a passionate evangelist about the evolution of PR to encompass both Search (SEO) and Social Media. 

Pete's communications expertise spans Consumer, Corporate, Trade and Business-to-Business sectors, having devised and managed national and international media campaigns for global blue-chip businesses – such as MicrosoftDirect LineBoeing & Sony PlayStation, each of which has taken advantage of his talent for clear and concise communication. Moreover, Pete has considerable experience and personal passion for the technology sector having launched and nurtured some of the UK’s most successful internet brands through the European dotcom boom - including FT.comExciteLetsBuyIt and lastminute.com.

As a long-time fan of social media on a personal basis, Pete has developed techniques that tap into the skills of the PR industry to tell stories that other social users wish to engage with - culminating in Punch client Sony Ericsson, being the most engaged brand on Facebook in the world, according to AllFacebook.com, in September 2011. From the early days of LinkedIn to the latest developments in Google+, Pete's continues to uncover communication opportunities presented by an ever-changing social media landscape.

With PR ideally suited to the task of link building, and link building being a core element of any successful SEO strategy, Pete has developed techniques to utilise PR skills, in terms of the creation, distribution and syndication of content that is aligned to PR activity, which continue to make a significant difference to a client's ranking in search engines.

Laura Crichton

Laura joined Punch as a PR assistant in October 2012.

After graduating with a degree in media studies in 2010, Laura contributed to a number of local print publications before deciding she would like to embark on a career in PR. Her role at Punch consists of administrative duties and assisting the team with PR work such as pitching stories to media, compiling press lists, and writing weekly SEO articles.

Laura has been fortunate enough to travel around Australia and New Zealand and in her spare time enjoys participating in weekly dance lessons, singing, and playing the piano.

 

Philip Keightley

Having joined Punch Communications in October 2007, Philip has 10 years experience in the media industry incorporating a blend of skills gained across the advertising, publishing and public relations sectors, representing high profile brands such as British Airways and Sony Ericsson.

An experienced Account Director at Punch, Philip has led on numerous client accounts across the off and online PR, Search and Social Media disciplines, providing client council, consultation and execution of campaigns across diverse business sectors including digital technology, social media, b2b, b2c, and property & construction.

Past and current clients include Reality Digital, Qype, Redbox Digital and Bowmer & Kirkland Group.

Cassie O'Shea

Cassie O'Shea joined Punch in the middle of April 2012. She is a versatile writer and editor with experience in diverse industries including publishing, communications, fundraising, recruitment, and real estate.

Previously, she worked with Christie's International Real Estate, the property arm of the venerable auction house, to create web copy, magazine articles, corporate brochures, and various marketing collateral. Other clients have included Cablevision, Avon, Kaplan, Fodor's, several print and web-based magazines, and Scholastic, the world's largest publisher and distributor of children's books

Hailing from Santa Fe, New Mexico, Cassie lived in New York City for ten years, Spain for three years, and recently moved to Market Harborough. She hopes to own a dog someday.

Will Davis

Will joined Punch in May 2010 as a Junior Account Executive.

Since graduating from Queen Mary University, London with a degree in Film Studies and History, Will has gained practical experience in the film and television industry. This includes experience with production houses in London, as well as running for a documentary of a music festival in Malawi, Africa.

Outside of work, Will is a passionate rugby fan, watching and attending Leicester Tigers games whenever possible. If there isn't a game on, he's probably adding to his film or video game collection.

Alex Smith

Alex joined Punch Communications in March 2009 to manage digital media and online PR within campaigns at Punch.

Having graduated with a degree in media, Alex successfully completed an internship with a global agency based in Brussels, working on clients such as Ingram Micro, Bluetooth and Dow Chemicals.

Outside of work, Alex is a keen sports fan, playing football as much as possible. He also likes to rock climb, and looks to hit the wall as often as he can.

Erica Whiteman

Erica has over 11 years experience marketing and promoting music to the masses at Sony Music and Lout Events. She moved to the UK from New York where she developed Rockstarhelper, a music pr and management company for start up indie bands.

Outside of work, Erica can be found baking, spending time with her family and searching ebay for bargains to turn her house into a set out of Mad Men.

Victoria Harris

Victoria Harris joined Punch in September 2011, bringing with her a decade of public relations experience in B2B, corporate and consumer communications.

Having worked at a number of PR agencies in London, Victoria’s key skills lie in developing and implementing media relations strategies. Previous clients include global brands Courvoisier, Nespresso and Casillero del Diablo as well as campaigns for organisations including the Association of Graduate Recruiters, Enterprise Week and the UK’s largest business network for women, everywoman.

Having recently moved from the Big Smoke, Victoria spends her weekends enjoying country walks and pubs, military fitness, and enjoying a home cooked meal with a glass of decent wine.

Jessica Ward

Jessica joined Punch Communications as a Junior Account Executive in October 2011.

Since graduating with a degree in Media and Communications in 2010, Jessica went on to work with a variety of PR and marketing companies, helping with the creation and implementation of a wide range of successful media and PR campaigns covering both B2B and B2C.
Jessica’s interests outside of work include socialising, traveling and running - hopefully gaining a potential place in the London Marathon 2012.

Gina Tunley

Gina joined Punch in February, bringing almost 13 years PR experience.

After training as a journalist, Gina spent two years as a news assistant with regional news programme Central News before starting a career in PR, working her way up through the ranks at three leading Midlands full service agencies over a timeframe of more than eight years. During this time, she gained experience spanning a huge number of sectors, both business to business and consumer – and worked with many public sector organisations including housing associations, training and enterprise councils, business links and Government-funded employment initiatives.

Outside of work Gina enjoys running and spending time with the family – although not at the same time!

George Guildford

George joined Punch in November 2010 as an Account Manager utilising over 6 years marketing and PR experience working within the music industry.

With a focus on integrating both traditional PR and social media to create effective and engaging campaigns, George has worked alongside a wide range of PR and music management companies to maximise the promotion, launch, and development of new and emerging artists and labels across both the UK and the US.

Outside of Punch George runs the Beachtapes music blog and label, heads to the cinema as much as possible, follows the NFL, and skis when he can.

Emma Goold

Emma’s background is in corporate and consumer public relations having started her career in-house at the European headquarters of Microsoft in Paris. This role armed her with a wide range of senior business and consumer press contacts and invaluable experience in crisis management, corporate social responsibility campaigns, event management and media liaison.

Having moved into agency work, Emma has also had the enviable task of working with many household lifestyle brands such as Virgin Radio, Virgin Mobile and the world’s largest online dating company Match.com.

In addition to her role at Punch, Emma launched a thriving Brighton-based design agency Belle Etoile in January 2003 and was recognised as one of four Young Designers of the Year by the Greetings Card Industry association in October 2003, demonstrating her creativity.
