Saving the Planet!

This week we have been launching a gas powered Eco Tumble Dryer. It is pretty unique to the UK and actually markedly better for consumers than the traditional electrical alternative, both financially and in terms of environmental impact:

Given that Electricity is around three times more expensive than gas, the Eco Tumble Dryer is significantly cheaper to run than an electrical alternative with a 60% lower annual running cost, averaging only £16 per year as opposed to £41 per year.

Users of the Eco Tumble Dryer can also feel that they are doing their bit for the environment as it is significantly more carbon efficient than electrical tumble dryers, producing 50% less carbon than a typical electric tumble dryer (at approximately 20kg carbon per year, as opposed to 40kg).

The Eco Tumble Dryer is the only gas powered tumble dryer available in the UK domestic market although it's interesting to note that the majority of UK commercial dryers are gas powered whilst in the US, gas tumble dryers account for 25% of all domestic tumble dryers sold.

We have had a great reception from both consumer and environmental journalists and have already secured coverage in the Daily Express and Good Housekeeping.
