Using Blogs & New Media To Target The Youth & Style Communities
About

www.SplitTheAtom.com is a community-based website that allows artists and illustrators from around the world to submit t-shirt designs which are voted upon to determine which designs will be printed and sold exclusively through the site.

Campaign Goals & Results

The aim of this three month campaign was twofold - to position the site as being desirable amongst the fickle graphic design audience whilst also promoting the site to a broad consumer audience. The campaign achieved coverage in Design Week, The Guardian and across the consumer technology media, achieving the goal of positioning the brand as 'high concept' amongst designers. A series of regional competitions online and coverage in the likes of .net magazine, Stuff magazine and Boys Toys gave the campaign a wider appeal and resulted in a significant upturn in sales.

In the client's words
"Punch delivered on its' initial promise of being able to generate press coverage that would raise awareness of our new business amongst the people that we really wanted to get noticed by. With articles such as a full-length feature in .net magazine, we certainly achieved exposure and awareness, which in turn resulted in sales. Although we worked with Punch for a short period, the effect has been extremely beneficial for our business. "
