Two Punch Clients Nominated for Three Prestigious Awards In Four Weeks

Posted: Wednesday 26 September, 2007

Two of Punch Communications' long standing clients have been nominated for three prestigious awards within a matter of weeks. Email and web management specialists Email Systems has been nominated for 'Security Vendor of the Year' at the Computer Reseller Awards (CRN) and the 'Service Category' at the Channel Network Awards. Simultaneously, PPLparty.com, the online social networking site for party goers, is potentially in line to receive up to £5million in funding.

The potential £5million worth of funding comes as part of the Connect Midlands Investment Challenge 2007. To date Callum Brannan, PPLparty's founder and Managing Director, has endured gruelling 'Dragons Den' style challenges of pitching to a panel of investors to book his company's ticket for the final award ceremony to be held at Kilworth House Hotel on the 10th October.

Email Sytems' nominations are the result of a period of significant growth for the business. The Channel Network Awards recognises best practices in client solutions and encourages building and supporting channel partnerships, a segment where Email Systems' has grown 106% in the last nine months alone. The nomination for 'Security Vendor of the Year' award from Computer Reseller News is particularly prominent within the industry as it is based on a public voting system amongst the IT and business community.

The three award nominations are an incredible feat for both companies and underlines their ambition and impact within their respective markets.

Pete Goold, Managing Director of Punch Communications said: "These award nominations are a great reflection of where these businesses are today. Not only is it a great opportunity for them but for Punch too. Working with two young companies that are at the forefront of their respective sectors is both exciting and challenging. We continue to look to the future and devise new strategies that will develop the reputation of each business and drive them both forward to future successes."
