About Punch

Welcome Changes

So, my first week at Punch has come and gone in a flash. I'm very pleased to report that all went smoothly and in fact I'm very much looking forward to the weeks ahead. I'm a walking talking sponge these days, drawing in every piece of information I possibly can, living in hope that it won't go in one ear and out the other. However, I am pleasantly surprising myself, maybe I shouldn't talk too soon. The Punch guys and girls have been wonderful, extremely helpful and massively friendly, which is a welcome relief.

The offices are on a picturesque farm in the Leicestershire countryside and I must say driving through the country roads to and from work everyday is a pleasure. It certainly beats the London Underground, hands down. I truly don't miss those miserable mornings squeezed up against some clammy stranger on the tube. All in all, I'm really rather pleased about the many recent changes in my life.

This year is a very big one for me, not only do I have a brand new shiny job but I am moving into a beautiful new house in June (if the builders pull their fingers out) and getting married to my fantastic fiancé in October. So not only do I have a head packed full of PR, I am also trying desperately to play interior designer and wedding planner at the same time.

Some might say I should be slightly over-whelmed at this point and they would be right. Although I'm enormously excited about it all, I can't help reminding myself that I haven't yet booked a band for the big day and if I don't get the invitations designed, ordered and sent out soon, there'll be no guests to enjoy it anyway.

Stress aside, I am reminding myself how lucky I am to have everything falling so nicely into place in such a short space of time. However, I can't help wondering what sort of state I'll be in come October. Thank goodness for honeymoons.
